Mesquite Tranquility is a quite, conservative RV Park located on the south side of Alpine, Texas. Alpine is located in Brewster County which is the largest county in Texas. It is three times larger than the state of Connecticut.
There is plenty to see and do in this area. Fort Davis National Historic Site to the north, has the best preserved fort in the country. You will also find Davis Mountain State Park and the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center and Botanical Gardens near Fort Davis. To the south are Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park and the ghost town of Terlingua. To the west is the Marfa Lights Viewing Center where you can check out the mysterious Marfa Lights. To the east is Marathon and the historic Gage Hotel. A little further to the north is Balmorhea State Park where 15 million gallons of cool, clear water pour out of the San Solomon Springs every day. You can swim in the spring fed pool and view the wildlife that are drawn to the other pools and ponds located in the park.
